A Fairytale Autumn at Fort Camping: Deb’s Winter Stay Through Her Lens

If you’ve ever wondered what camping in Vancouver feels like in the fall, one look at Deb’s photos will tell you everything — magical, peaceful, and straight out of a storybook. 🍂

Deb, one of our wonderful campers joining our Winter Camping Program at Fort Camping, has an incredible eye for photography. Along with her husband and their two adorable cats, she’s spending six cozy months with us as part of our snowbird winter program in Vancouver — and her photos capture exactly why Fort Langley is such a special place to call “home” for the season.

Life at Fort Camping in the Autumn

The town of Fort Langley already has that charming, small-town feel — with its historic streets, local cafés, and riverside trails — but in autumn, something magical happens here. The trees along the Fraser River turn brilliant shades of gold and amber, the crisp air smells faintly of campfire, and every corner looks like it’s been painted from a fairytale scene.

For Deb and her husband, that means morning walks under golden leaves, peaceful afternoons by the river, and evenings spent cozy inside their home-on-wheels — with their two cats enjoying the view from the window, of course. 🐾

Fort Langley: A Fairytale Escape in the Lower Mainland

There’s no denying it, Fort Langley is one of the most picturesque towns in the Lower Mainland, especially in autumn. From misty mornings by the Fraser River to cozy strolls through the village, every moment feels a little magical.

And when you stay at Fort Camping, you’re right in the heart of it all. You can explore boutique shops, enjoy brunch at local cafés, or simply take in the fall colors from your RV or cabin porch. It’s no wonder many of our winter campers say it’s the best campground near Vancouver for year-round stays.

Her snapshots of fog rolling over the river, amber leaves glistening in morning light, and cozy campsite scenes perfectly show what makes camping in autumn so special.

We’re so happy to have Deb and her family (cats included!) with us this winter. Their stay is a beautiful reminder that every season at Fort Camping holds a little magic.
