Border lineups, new entry fees, and a currency that never seems to cooperate. If driving south for the winter has started to feel like more hassle than it’s worth, you’re not alone. A growing number of Canadian snowbirds are choosing to stay closer to home instead, and BC’s winters make that an easy choice.
Pathfinder Camp Resorts’ Winter Camping Program runs October through April at three locations across the province: Fort Camping in Fort Langley, Pathfinder Parksville on Vancouver Island, and Pathfinder Agassiz-Harrison in the Fraser Valley.
Here’s what makes it worth trading the border crossing for a winter camping in BC:
Full-Service RV Sites, So You Can Actually Relax
A long winter stay should feel like home, not like roughing it. Our full-service RV sites let you settle in comfortably for the season, hookups and all, so you can spend your time enjoying the winter instead of managing it.
Amenities That Make a Long Stay Easy
Free WiFi, a coin laundry room, and heated showers, the everyday comforts that make an extended stay simple rather than a chore. No need to hunt down a laundromat or ration your hot water on a cold morning.
Skip the Snow Shovel, Not the Season
BC has some of the mildest winters in Canada. That means you can enjoy the season without digging out your RV every morning. Trade harsh cold and snow shoveling for crisp air and mild days. It still feels like winter, just without the hassle.
A Community of Fellow Snowbirds
You won’t be wintering alone. You’ll meet fellow snowbirds who made the same call. Stay close to home, make new friends, and still make it a season to remember.
Everything You Need, Just a Short Drive Away
All three locations are close to grocery stores, local shops, cafes, bakeries, and restaurants. Downtown is just a short drive away too. Whether you’re stocking the fridge or hunting for a new coffee spot, you won’t have to go far.
Local Attractions and Festivals All Season Long
Winter in BC brings its own local charm. Enjoy holiday markets, light displays, and small-town festivals throughout the season.
Three BC Locations, Each With Its Own Winter Charm
Fort Camping, Fort Langley
Just an hour from Vancouver and walking distance to the historic Fort Langley village, this location puts you close to local shops, cafes, and many more. Fort Langley’s own Christmas in the Village market runs annually in December, a lovely way to spend an afternoon in town.

Set on the Englishman River with some of the mildest winter weather in the province, Parksville is minutes from downtown shops, restaurants, and the annual Milner Gardens Christmas Magic light walk. Guests also get to enjoy the heated pool and FeelGood Sauna right on site, a nice way to warm up after a winter walk.
Pathfinder Agassiz-Harrison, Fraser Valley
Just minutes from downtown Agassiz and nearby Chilliwack for groceries and dining, and a quick 7-minute drive from a soak at Harrison Hot Springs, this location offers mountain views to look around.
