The holiday season is shining bright in Harrison Hot Springs! The most anticipated annual event, Lights by the Lake, kicked off with a fun opening ceremony last Saturday, November 23rd.
The lights are transforming the Harrison lakefront into a winter wonderland.
A Celebration of Local Legends and Lore
Did you know that Harrison Hot Springs has a long-standing connection to the elusive Sasquatch? Passed down through the oral traditions of the Sts’Ailes Nation, the legend of Sasquatch is woven into the fabric of this charming town. This year’s Lights by the Lake celebrates this unique heritage with enchanting displays highlighting local wildlife and even Sasquatch’s favorite Harrison Hot Springs activities!
Stroll, Skate, and Soak in the Festive Atmosphere
These beautiful lights illuminate a 2 km stretch of the Harrison Hot Springs waterfront along the promenade, creating a magical atmosphere from dusk until 11:00 PM each night. And the fun doesn’t stop there! Bring your own skates and glide across the Starlight Skating Rink, a free outdoor synthetic ice rink perfect for the whole family.
After a magical evening by the lake, head over to Pathfinder Camp Resort in Agassiz (just a 7-minute drive away) and spend your nights at our park!
We’re decked out with twinkling lights throughout the park and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in our office. Cozy up in one of our cabins or RV sites, roast marshmallows around the campfire, and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Agassiz area.
