A Letter From Our Founder’s to Yours

Family Day is a reminder of what matters most. It is about spending time together and creating memories that last far beyond a long weekend.

At Pathfinder Camp Resorts, family is at the heart of everything we do. That vision starts with our CEO, Joe Bleackley, whose personal experiences with camping have shaped how Pathfinder’s communities are designed. For Joe, camping has never been just a vacation. It has always been about connection, freedom, and shared moments outdoors.

A Message from Joe Bleackley, CEO of Pathfinder Camp Resorts

For us, family has always meant getting outside. Some of our best memories have come from camping trips where the schedule slows down and everyone reconnects. We have an active household — the kids love to explore, ride bikes, throw a ball around, and just be outside. Even our dog loves being part of the adventure. Camping has always been one of those holidays where everyone — kids, parents, and pets — can enjoy it together.

One of the things I appreciate most about camping is how easy it is to invite friends. You’re not just booking a trip — you’re creating a shared experience. Sitting around a fire, kids running between sites, morning coffees outside, late-night laughs — those are the moments that stick with you.

As a parent and as someone building Pathfinder’s communities, that perspective really matters to me. We don’t just think about sites and amenities — we think about how families gather, how kids create independence in safe environments, and how simple moments outdoors can turn into lifelong memories.

Joe’s perspective is exactly what shapes our values at Pathfinder Camp Resorts. Feel free to follow Joe on Instagram.

Camping is rarely about perfect weather or perfectly planned days. It is about your kids coming back with a new experience, sharing snacks with friends, and staying up just a bit later because no one wants the night to end.

Those are the moments that quietly become core memories.

This Family Day, give yourselves the space to slow down and simply be together. Let the kids explore, the dog run, invite friends to join, and allow the simple outdoors to do what it does best.
