Location:        Pathfinder Camp Resort – Fort Langley

Classification: Seasonal; Full-Time, April – October 2023

Schedule:        Thursday – Sunday. Up to 40 hours per week.

Salary:             20.00 Per Hour.         

Live on-site option:    Yes

Site Fee:          190.00 per week (inc.GST)

Evening Host Positions assist in various roles within our resorts, located in Langley, Agassiz and Parksville.


We are currently searching for a seasonal Host for our Fort Langley Camp Resort located in the Fraser Valley.


Duties vary from resort to resort, but all Hosting positions include; maintenance, cleaning, landscaping, and after-hours/on-call security duties.


As a Host, you will be instrumental in ensuring great customer relations and service to our guests, as well as maintaining a clean, well-kept camp resort.


As part of your remuneration, the ideal candidate will live on-site (discounted rate) in their own newer model RV unit with full 30-amp hookups and access to high-speed internet and other services. 


You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a staff team.

*Please note; vacation time is not granted for seasonal employees.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Customer service and relations – Assisting with after-hours check-in procedures, respond to guest enquiries and concerns via in-person or telephone, assist with site included services and camp store as required.
  • Outdoor Maintenance and landscaping work.
  • Host and security functions (late Night) Conduct frequent campground rounds to ensure rule compliance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate reporting on any emergencies, guest complaints and rule non-compliance.

Key Requirements/Skills

  • A hospitable nature, outgoing and friendly with good communication and customer service skills.
  • Previous campground or hospitality industry experience, a definite asset.
  • Physically able to walk up to 5km. per day, conducting rounds through campsites, continuous need for lifting bending and the carrying of materials.
  • Work is primarily conducted outdoors and must be able to work outside in all weathers.
  • Open and able to work different shifts including, late nights and weekends.
  • Level 1 First Aid/CPR required or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
  • Criminal Record Check.
